Kang Seungwoo
Kang Seungwoo(b.1995, Korea), examines inner states that have not yet cohered into stable form, tracing the ways in which they provisionally organise themselves within the pictorial field. In his work, form does not function as representation but as a condition through which memory and relational experience are distorted, layered, and reconfigured. The grotesque and the unstable do not offer psychological explanation; instead, they articulate the processes by which interiority is destabilised and apprehended. His paintings resist resolution, allowing fragments of inner experience to momentarily crystallise within structures that remain fundamentally incomplete.
